Rainbow weather is the rarest weather condition in LumenTale: Memories of Trey — and the only one that gates an evolution outright. If you are chasing Chromaura, you cannot skip it. Here is how to find a rainbow, what it does in battle, and the quest that guarantees one.
🌈 What Rainbow Weather Is
Rainbow weather is a rare condition that can appear in any area of the world map. While it is active it buffs every Animon in battle, and it is a hard requirement for two specific evolutions. There is no way to force it through normal play — but there is a side quest that guarantees it (see below).
How to tell a rainbow is active
A rainbow appears in the top-left corner of the screen and stays there for the rest of the in-game day.
The weather symbol beside the minimap also shows the rainbow indicator.
How to make one appear
Rainbow weather spawns randomly with no guarantee of where. The practical method is to hop between areas and check the indicator each time. Saving and reloading also helps, so keep a save handy and reroll rather than walking laps.
⚔️ Rainbow Weather Effects
While a rainbow is up, all Animon — including enemies — receive these buffs:
Buffed stat
Effect while active
Accuracy
Improved for all Animon
Healing
Improved for all Animon
Critical hit chance
Higher for all Animon
Because enemies are buffed too, a rainbow is not a free win — it is a swingier fight. The crit buff in particular cuts both ways.
🎫 The Guaranteed Rainbow: “Singing in the Rainbow”
If area-hopping isn’t working, there is a shortcut. The side quest “Singing in the Rainbow” guarantees rainbow weather on completion.
Unlock: finish the main quest in Paradine City.
Where: the Lumen Barracks, behind the Stadium.
Who: talk to Cinque, standing beside Elio.
⚠️ The catch: the quest asks you to hit Moka with specific elements, drawn from Water, Electric, Fire, Aura and Ice Holoken powers. The elements requested are drawn at random, so in practice you can often finish it without owning all five — and the Ice Holoken is post-game only. If Ice comes up and you don’t have it, reload and reroll the request.
🔮 Minube × 6 → Chromaura
This is the headline reason to care about rainbows. Evolving Chromaura requires all six colours of Minube in your active party during rainbow weather.
Put all six in your party — Minube sitting in the Anidex box will not count and the prompt won’t trigger.
Get into an area with rainbow weather.
Select any one of the six to evolve. Whichever you pick, Chromaura inherits that Minube’s stats and level — so choose your strongest.
⚠️ All six Minube are consumed. You lose the entire set to gain one Chromaura, so finish levelling your chosen Minube before you evolve.
💥 Chagma → Gongbog: Use the Crit Buff
Chagma evolves into Gongbog by landing 5 critical hits in a single battle — a genuinely fiddly condition. Rainbow weather raises crit chance for everyone, which makes this dramatically easier. Line the two up rather than grinding it under clear skies.
Chagma has a second, opposite branch worth knowing: missing 5 times in a single battle evolves it into Natmiss instead. Rainbow weather boosts accuracy, so if Natmiss is your goal, hunt it in anything but a rainbow.
❓ Rainbow Weather FAQ
Can I force rainbow weather without the quest? Not reliably. Area-hopping and save-reloading are the only methods until “Singing in the Rainbow” is available.
How long does it last? Once an area has rainbow weather, it holds for the rest of that in-game day.
Are there other rainbow-gated evolutions? Only Minube → Chromaura requires it outright. Chagma → Gongbog doesn’t require a rainbow — it just gets much easier under one.
Do rainbows change which Animon spawn? Weather and time of day do affect spawns generally — see our Rare Animon Spawns guide. No rainbow-exclusive spawn is documented.
Sourcing note: cross-verified between Game8 and The Games Wiki. The six Minube colours follow this site’s own dex entries; one source lists the sixth colour as Pink rather than Purple.
Early in LumenTale: Memories of Trey the game asks you to go north or south, and the answer decides whether you see Logos or Mythos first. It looks like a fork-in-the-road decision. It isn’t. Here is what the split actually changes — and what it doesn’t.
🗺️ The Short Answer
Mythos and Logos are the two regions that make up Talea, and also the two factions that grew out of a war of succession — the old emperor died without naming an heir between his twin sons, and the empire split. Logos is north. Mythos is south.
Crucially: the choice is sequencing, not commitment. You reach both regions either way. Nothing is permanently missed.
Logos (North)
Mythos (South)
Identity
Technology, progress, reform
Tradition, ancestry, ritual
Feel
Modern cities, entertainment, idol culture, advanced research
Older customs, slower pacing, an older visual language
Biomes
Technological cities, snow
Forest, swamp
Types you meet early
Electric, Ice, Data
Geo, Grass, Virus
Emblem
Septemblem
Meridemblem
🏙️ Cities on Each Side
Mythos (south) runs Iris Hamlet (your home town, no squadron) → Mirasilva (The Great Tree Town) → Costa Linda (City of the Sun, squadron leader Nipo) → Altipetra (City of Fire) → Memorenia (City of Tradition). Suvius Peak and a cave route between Costa Linda and Altipetra fill out the map.
⚠️ One caveat on that chain: the wikis are not fully consistent about which city hosts which quest — see the note in our Emblems guide, where the same Costa Linda / Altipetra mapping affects where the Meridemblem is handed over.
Logos (north) is less thoroughly documented. The quest chain runs City of Inventors → The City of Entertainment → The Lagoon City → The City of Progress. Voltar is the entertainment city (captain Anne), and Magnolia is a quieter town with a squadron led by Max. Which city names attach to the other northern quests isn’t documented yet.
🔓 What “Not Locked Out” Actually Means
You can walk into the opposite region right away — but only as far as its first city. Beyond that, two things stop you:
The world map stays fogged on the side you didn’t choose.
You can’t sign up for the Lumen Squadron battle in that first city — and squadron wins are what grant Holoken Powers, the element infusions that clear roadblocks further in.
So it’s a soft gate built on progression items rather than a hard branch. Costa Linda’s squadron grants Water; Voltar’s grants Electric.
🧬 What the Split Changes Mechanically
1. Your starter’s final evolution
Each route hands you one emblem, and each emblem unlocks one of two final forms for every starter line at Level 40. Since emblems are reusable and both are eventually obtainable, this is a branch per individual Animon rather than a save-file decision — raise two and take one down each path. Full breakdown in our Emblems guide.
2. Regional variant Animon
Several species exist in two regional forms with different typings, stats, lore and evolutions. On this site they carry a [Mythos] or [Logos] tag; the wikis label the same creatures (Southern) and (Northern) respectively.
Beyond the variants, each region has species that simply don’t spawn on the other side — so a full dex needs both halves of the map regardless of which you start with.
3. Which bosses you meet first
The southern route front-loads Dualine at Baza’s palace in Mirasilva, a giant Blumester at Costa Linda’s harbour, and Morsiver in Altipetra’s volcano. See our boss weakness guide for counters.
🤔 So Which Should You Pick?
No source recommends one over the other, and neither is framed as the villain. There’s no documented difficulty, reward or pacing advantage either way. Pick on:
Types you want early. Electric/Ice/Data in the north, Geo/Grass/Virus in the south — check what your starter is weak to.
Which final evolution you want first. Look up your starter’s two finals and go get that emblem.
Aesthetics. Neon cities and snow, or forests, swamps and ritual.
❓ Mythos vs Logos FAQ
Is the choice permanent? No. It only sets the order. Both regions are reachable in a single playthrough.
Is Mythos/Logos a creature type? No — it’s a region. The [Mythos] and [Logos] tags on dex entries mark where that form comes from, not a typing or attribute.
Can I get both emblems in one save? Yes — you just get the second one considerably later.
Do I need both regions for a complete dex? Yes. Regional variants and region-exclusive species make both halves mandatory for full completion.
Sourcing note: cross-verified between Game8 and The Games Wiki. Region lore and the southern city chain are documented on a single wiki; evolution targets for regional variants come from the other. Conflicts are flagged rather than smoothed over.
There are exactly two emblems in LumenTale: Memories of Trey — the Meridemblem and the Septemblem — and between them they decide the final form of every starter Animon in the game. Here is where each one comes from, how they work, and all ten final evolutions they unlock.
🏅 The Two Emblems
Emblem
Route
Branch it unlocks
Consumed on use?
Meridemblem
South — Mythos
Mythos final evolutions
No — reusable
Septemblem
North — Logos
Logos final evolutions
No — reusable
That “reusable” column matters more than anything else on this page. Neither emblem is consumed. As long as it sits in your bag, you can use the same emblem to evolve every eligible Animon you raise — so you never have to choose which one creature gets the upgrade.
📍 How to Get Each Emblem
Septemblem (North / Logos)
Awarded on the northern route during The City of Entertainment quest. Win the squadron match in Voltar, and Liza approaches you afterwards to hand over the Septemblem.
Meridemblem (South / Mythos)
Awarded on the southern route at the end of the City of the Sun quest.
⚠️ Sourcing caveat: the wikis disagree on the city. One places the handover in Altipetra, but the City of the Sun quest is elsewhere mapped to Costa Linda, with Altipetra belonging to the City of Fire quest. We have not been able to resolve which is correct, so treat the quest name as reliable and the city as unconfirmed.
Can you get both?
Yes. The north/south choice decides which emblem you receive first, not which one you receive. You are never locked out of the other region — you simply reach the second emblem considerably later. See our Mythos vs Logos guide for how the route split actually works.
🧬 All 10 Emblem Evolutions
Every starter follows the same shape: plain level-up to stage two at Level 18, then Level 40 plus an emblem for the final form. The emblem you use decides which of the two finals you get.
The emblem is used on the stage-two form, not the base starter. Unsure which line to commit to? Our best starter ranking breaks down all five.
🎯 What This Means in Practice
The branch is per-Animon, not per-save. Because emblems are reusable and both are eventually obtainable, you can raise two of the same starter and take one down each branch.
Nothing is permanent at the route choice. Picking north or south only changes the order in which you unlock the branches.
Don’t rush to Level 40. If you want the other branch first, hold the stage-two form until the second emblem is in hand.
Emblems do nothing else. Across the full roster, these two items appear only in these ten evolutions — no stat effect, no other use is documented.
❓ Emblem FAQ
Do I need to farm multiple emblems? No. One of each is enough forever — they are not consumed.
Are there other emblems besides these two? No. The item list contains only the Meridemblem and Septemblem. Other evolution items exist — Lampalite, Candleshroom, Crimson Horn, Lustrostar, Zord Head and the Mystical Relic — but none are emblems.
Can non-starter Animon use an emblem? Not per any documented evolution. The emblems gate the five starter lines only.
Which branch is stronger? No source ranks one branch above the other. Compare the final forms’ stat spreads on their dex pages and pick on typing and team fit — our team comp guide covers how to slot them in.
Lost Animon are LumenTale: Memories of Trey‘s take on shinies — but they are not recolors. A Lost Animon is a fully redesigned form of the same species, and they are rare enough that most players finish the story without ever seeing one in the wild. Here is what is actually confirmed about them, what is still only player-reported, and every Lost form documented so far.
✨ What Is a Lost Animon?
A Lost Animon is an extremely rare variant of a normal species. It still counts as the same species in your AniWiki, but it has an entirely different design and colour scheme rather than a palette swap — in several cases the silhouette itself changes.
In Talea’s own lore, Lost Animon are believed to be extinct, which is why researchers treat a confirmed sighting as an event rather than a coincidence.
👂 How to Find One: Listen, Don’t Look
Play with sound on. A Lost Animon in the area announces itself with a distinctive sparkling chime in the background audio before you ever see it. If you hear it, stop moving and sweep the area — the spawn is nearby and it will despawn if you leave.
Lost Animon appear in the overworld like any other spawn. According to a developer post on the game’s Steam discussions, you can catch them straight from the overworld with the Holoken without entering battle — which removes the risk of accidentally knocking one out. Our catching guide covers Holoken technique in full.
Checking which species have a Lost form
Players report that the AniWiki’s third filter (the star icon) lists fully scanned Animon that have a Lost form, so you can confirm a target exists before committing hours to hunting it. This one is community-reported rather than documented on a wiki — treat it as a tip, not gospel.
📋 Every Documented Lost Animon
Twenty Lost forms are confirmed and catalogued — and they are not a random assortment. They are the five starter lines in full: each base starter, its stage-two form, and both of its branched final evolutions. They were revealed together in an official showcase.
These 20 are only the documented set. One wiki reports that the developers confirmed 76 Lost Animon exist at launch, and players have posted catches outside the starter lines — a Lost Mollupom among them. So the list above is a floor, not a ceiling. New to the starters? See our best starter ranking.
Separately, Lampecko‘s Lost form is granted outright with the Deluxe and Lumen editions rather than hunted.
🎲 Encounter Rates — What’s Actually Known
Straight answer: no official Lost encounter rate has ever been published, and neither major wiki documents one. Every number circulating comes from players. They are worth knowing, but hold them loosely — the figures below disagree with each other.
Method
Reported odds
Confidence
Base wild encounter
1 in 5,000 / 1 in 8,000 / 1 in 8,192 depending on who you ask
Player-reported, contradictory
Area 05 camp buff (30 minutes after clearing the camp)
Around 1 in 500
Player-reported by two independent posters
Mystical Relic rebirth (sacrifice 3 of the same species)
Around 1 in 100
Player-reported by two independent posters
⚠️ Be sceptical of the 1/8,192 figure in particular — it is the classic shiny rate from another well-known monster-collecting series, which is exactly the kind of number players assume rather than measure.
What is documented
Art cards. Collecting a species’ art card raises your chance of encountering that species — including its Lost variant. No number is attached, but the effect itself is documented.
Lost Bilia. A special Bilia tied to rarer encounters, bundled with launch-window bonuses. What it does mechanically has never been spelled out, so don’t assume it multiplies Lost odds.
Mystical Relic rebirth. The relic is a real, documented item that rebirths an Animon by consuming others — and the rebirthed result can emerge Lost. The odds attached to it are the player-reported part.
🎯 A Practical Hunting Routine
Pick your target species and confirm it has a Lost form via the AniWiki star filter.
Collect that species’ art card first — it is the only documented odds booster.
Clear the Area 05 camp and hunt inside the 30-minute buff window.
Headphones on. Area-hop, pause, listen for the sparkle before you commit to a sweep.
When one appears, throw from the overworld rather than starting a battle.
If wild hunting stalls, farm duplicates and go the Mystical Relic route instead.
❓ Lost Animon FAQ
Are Lost Animon stronger? No stat difference is documented. They are a cosmetic rarity — the value is in the design and the hunt.
Do Lost variants have different Hidden Types? Nothing suggests typing changes. A rebirth-produced Lost variant keeps the Hidden Type it already had — see our Hidden Types guide.
Does evolving a Lost Animon keep it Lost? Every form in the five starter lines has its own Lost design, which strongly implies the variant carries through evolution. It is not explicitly documented, so verify in-game before sacrificing anything.
Are Lost Animon harder to catch once found? No Lost-specific catch penalty is documented. Standard catching rules apply.
Sourcing note: mechanics above are cross-checked against Game8 and The Games Wiki. Encounter-rate figures are player-reported from Steam community discussions and are labelled as such — they are not official.

📖 Lore
“Puffella are extremely empathetic. Their sensitive yellow cheeks can detect emotions in the air, while their vibrating red tufts retransmit them, creating an emotional bond between a Puffella and anyone else close by.”
Lequilar
“With their melodious voices and colourful plumage, Lequilar puts on wonderful shows, making them the star of the holidays. Lequilar’s feathers dance like confetti in joyful moments, but in the face of danger, their feathers stiffen and become sharp as knives.”
✨ Attribute: Felicis
Puffella’s Felicis attribute enables it to slightly heal its allies after attacking. Every offensive move Puffella uses passively restores HP to your team — making it a dual attacker-support that provides value on every turn without spending extra SP.
💡 Tip: You also need to trigger the Felicis trait 20 times in battle to unlock Puffella’s evolution into Lequilar. Start using it immediately — every battle counts.

🧠 Trainer Tips
Use Felicis every battle — don’t save it. Every activation counts toward the 20 needed for evolution, and the passive team heal is useful immediately.
Lean into the rotation loop — Felicis heals on attack, Parting Gift heals on swap-out. Rotate Puffella in and out deliberately to double-dip on heals.
Director at level 1 is immediately useful — it extends your team’s SP pool, which matters more mid-game when your moves cost 3+ SP per turn.
Brilliant Beam (120 PWR, Lv.41) is the payoff move. It’s worth getting Puffella to its level cap before evolving if you want it in Puffella’s final form.
Pair with a high-damage S-tier like Obsidedge or Konbian. Puffella is the glue, not the engine — let your damage dealers carry while it handles passive upkeep.
