A Lost Animon is a fully redesigned form of the same species, and they are rare enough that most players finish the story without ever seeing one in the wild. Here is what is actually confirmed about them, what is still only player-reported, and every Lost form documented so far.
✨ What Is a Lost Animon?
A Lost Animon is an extremely rare variant of a normal species. It still counts as the same species in your AniWiki, but it has an entirely different design and colour scheme rather than a palette swap — in several cases the silhouette itself changes.
In Talea’s own lore, Lost Animon are believed to be extinct, which is why researchers treat a confirmed sighting as an event rather than a coincidence.
👂 How to Find One: Listen, Don’t Look
Play with sound on. A Lost Animon in the area announces itself with a distinctive sparkling chime in the background audio before you ever see it. If you hear it, stop moving and sweep the area — the spawn is nearby and it will despawn if you leave.
Lost Animon appear in the overworld like any other spawn. According to a developer post on the game’s Steam discussions, you can catch them straight from the overworld with the Holoken without entering battle — which removes the risk of accidentally knocking one out. Checking which species have a Lost form
Players report that the AniWiki’s third filter (the star icon) lists fully scanned Animon that have a Lost form, so you can confirm a target exists before committing hours to hunting it. This one is community-reported rather than documented on a wiki — treat it as a tip, not gospel.

Straight answer: no official Lost encounter rate has ever been published, and neither major wiki documents one. Every number circulating comes from players. They are worth knowing, but hold them loosely — the figures below disagree with each other.

⚠️ Be sceptical of the 1/8,192 figure in particular — it is the classic shiny rate from another well-known monster-collecting series, which is exactly the kind of number players assume rather than measure.
What is documented
- Art cards. Collecting a species’ art card raises your chance of encountering that species — including its Lost variant. No number is attached, but the effect itself is documented.
- Lost Bilia. A special Bilia tied to rarer encounters, bundled with launch-window bonuses. What it does mechanically has never been spelled out, so don’t assume it multiplies Lost odds.
- Mystical Relic rebirth. The relic is a real, documented item that rebirths an Animon by consuming others — and the rebirthed result can emerge Lost. The odds attached to it are the player-reported part.
🎯 A Practical Hunting Routine
- Pick your target species and confirm it has a Lost form via the AniWiki star filter.
- Collect that species’ art card first — it is the only documented odds booster.
- Clear the Area 05 camp and hunt inside the 30-minute buff window.
- Headphones on. Area-hop, pause, listen for the sparkle before you commit to a sweep.
- When one appears, throw from the overworld rather than starting a battle.
- If wild hunting stalls, farm duplicates and go the Mystical Relic route instead.
