Muribang
AuraFire
#102 · Furor Attribute
Lore
Despite their sweet and harmless appearance, Muribang are extremely dangerous. At the slightest noise, they inflate their bodies until they burst, causing a gigantic explosion. It’s best to stay away from a pack–frightening one can cause a chain reaction!
Attribute: Furor
Highly aggressive Animon with top-tier physical Attack. They hit hard and fast but often sacrifice defense for raw offensive output.
Hunting Tips
🎯 Temple Underground has a high spawn rate. Area 20 has a 100% spawn rate in a specific spot (see the Area 20 location for more info). When Repels or Demon Holoken power are active it ignores you and doesn’t explode unless it spawns next to you.
BEST SETUP:
1) Have a fast and strong animon with Felicis attribute and an area move (the easiest to get is Luxecko with Glitch Wave, the tankiest ones are Therapix and Impetoad with Delta Blast). Invest all its stats points in HP and equip Chromacatcher to it;
2) Have a high HP animon with Demon as its primary type (the best is Horrogre but any Demon will work). Invest all its stats points in HP;
3) Go to your hunting spot and repeatedly use the Demon Holoken to either approach safely or defeat all Muribang;
4) When your party is damaged by Muribang’s explosions, you can heal by entering a random battle. Your Felicis animon with its trait, Chromacatcher and synchronicity will heal each of your animon for 40% of their health and finish the battle in one turn.
Notes
Muribang have his name coming from “Muri” for Muridae (which is the family for the rats and the mouses) and “-bang” which is an onomatopoeia used in a lot of comic to designated an explosion.
Muribang is probably inspirated by a field mouse (smaller than a classic mouse and more round with big ears) and a balloon or maybe a grenade with his tail.
For the choice of color and pattern it’s either a target or more specificly a training billard ball.
Muribang is an animon very liked by the developpers we can see multiple references and specificities in the differents parts of the game. Like the fact he is the only Animon who can actually explode making him quite unique (and trigger a lot of people).
We can find a lot of Muribang reference in Voltar with a circus tent which represent a big angry Muribang ready to explode, with on the side many balloons representing Muribang probably selled for children (which are a lot present in the city).
